Submissions for ‘Anchored and Adrift’ Juried Student Photo Show due Oct. 30

Call for entries! Submit your photos to the Juried Student Photography Show “Anchored and Adrift.” The exhibition will run from Thursday, Nov. 14 to spring 2025.

How to submit

Carthage students can enter up to three photographs. For each submitted photography, you will need: title, medium (digital, silver gelatin, cyanotype, mixed media, etc.), year completed, value/price, and if it is for sale.

Entries are due by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Competition timeline details:

• Entries Due: 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30
• Jurying: Thursday, Oct. 31-Sunday, Nov. 3
• Notification of Acceptance By: Monday, Nov. 4
• Photo Printing and Framing Workshop: Required for selected photos. Workshops will be held between 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, in JAC 219 and JAC 213 (Printing Output Lab)
• Exhibition Dates: Thursday, Nov. 14-Spring 2025
• Opening Reception: 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the Erhler Hospitality Center

Note: Accepted digital photos must be printed at 12x18 inches — either vertically or horizontally. By attending the workshops, you’ll print your digital photo and frame your work. Details will be provided when artwork is selected for the exhibition.

This will be the sixth exhibit in the photography gallery located in the Ehrler Hospitality Center within the A. F. Siebert Chapel. This exhibition and display space is sponsored by the Photography and Film and New Media Program and the Center for Faith and Spirituality.
